What a long and busy day for my Tyler. First up, my baby has lost his first tooth! (sniff, sniff. they grow up so fast.)
He had been wiggling it for days but wouldn't let me pull it. Finally it just fell out when he bonked into a couch cushion.
Then later that day he and I got to head out for a little date. Dan volunteered to take the babies to a pool party, so I told Tyler the two of us were going to spend the afternoon together. I figured we would see a movie, but his choice was to go see "the stinky flower."
Here is a link to a news story.
I knew it would be crowded, but didn't realize parking would be that bad--20 minutes circling all the lots at Hermann Park, finally parking at the zoo. But we did make it in, and thanks to our purchased online tickets, we did walk right in. After taking in the exhibit at the Butterfly Center, which was actually fun, we finally made it to Lois. It sure looked neat, but we were disappointed to find no stench. It was said to have bloomed about 36 hours earlier, and the smell should have lingered, but alas, we missed it. But we did get our token picture.
The best thing was spending an afternoon with my boy. I think I am one lucky mom.
