Bye-bye hospital!

Both the babies got discharged this afternoon!! We thought Carter might need a few more days, but he learned to eat in one day. They are adorable, and very well loved. They are just sleeping in the next room until their next feeding. I'm hoping that the lots of sleeping is their disposition, not just their prematurity.
We are staying at my sister's until Monday. Bright and early Monday morning we will catch a flight to Houston. (You have no idea the hoops you have to jump through to bring a preemie with oxygen on a plane.) For all my Texas friends, I will let you know when we are welcoming visitors. I thought I would be less paranoid about the whole crowd thing with numbers 2&3, but am much more so since they are preemies.
To my Utah friends: I am so sorry that I wasn't able to see all of you on our trip here. Life just got so chaotic. Thanks for all your kind words.

Congratulations on going home. It will be great to have those babies at their own house. Also good luck. That's a lot of work ahead of you, but definitely worth it.

Yeah! You get to come home! I completely understand about the preemie thing. I was the same way. Just make sure that everyone washes their hands the minute they come in when you do start letting them come. We will have Tyler over for sure! Glad they are out together.

I am so excited to see your new babies! And I totally understand wanting to wait until they are bigger. Paige wasn't even premature and I was totally freaked out over everything. I am so excited and happy for you guys. You can just feel the love you have for them - and I think that is awesome!

What a blessing that they could stay together. I always think it's sad when multiples are separated.
I can certainly understand being worried about illness. After so long in the hospital, you really don't want to end up in the same place.
They look so tiny in their carseats. How cute!

Good luck on the trip home. I hadn't even thought of the airlines resisting them on the flight . . . so many things you don't think of until you are faced with the situation. But, won't it be so great to be home at long last?

Congratulations again!

YEAH!!! Yeah, Angela, keep those babies away from people as long as possible. You have the rest of your life to be around people and be out and doing stuff. I love to cherish those moments when I have a really good excuse to just stay home and soak in their straight-from-heaven-ness. I don't like life to get back to "normal" too fast. I like to just sit and look at them! :) Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!
